Kadin Cooperation With Indosat Ooredoo Kembangkan Talenta Digital
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) in collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) initiated a programming scholarship program (programming) entitled IDCamp X Kadin collaboration 2023 to support Indonesia's vision in developing digital talent.
Deputy Chairperson for Communication and Information at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Firlie H. Ganinduto hopes that the program can be used properly by young people to innovate and be creative.
"Currently, the Indonesian government is targeting 9 million new digital talents or the equivalent of 600,000 digital talents per year. This program is one of the implementations of the main pillars of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry," he said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, January 10.
He hopes that the program will also help KADIN in the regions in mapping the needs of skills in their respective regions so that these IDCamp x Kadin graduates can be distributed directly with the help of the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This program is a real support for government programs in bringing people closer to social, economic and environmental sustainability by 2030.
SVP-Head of Corporate Communication IOH Steve Saerang explained that his party is committed to helping to empower Indonesia through meeting the needs of digital talent through IDCamp.
"We believe that this collaboration with Kadin will support Indonesia to become the center of digital power in Asia Pacific, and in the future will contribute to Indonesia's digital economy growth," he said.
IDCamp X Kadin 2023 registration is open from January 10 - February 10, 2023. IDCamp is the second program from the Kadin Academy which is a scholarship for online and globally certified coding or programming.
Starting with online coding training for basics and startinners, the program will last until August 2023.
This program will be held in Solo, Medan, and Makassar, and is expected to expand to other regions. By targeting as many as 3,000 young talents, the program is expected to be able to create an evenly distributed Indonesian digital education ecosystem.
Of the 3,000 participants, they will be re-selected to 100 participants with the best value from each city to get an intermediate class scholarship to take part in online training.
Furthermore, the best 50 participants in each city will be selected to take part in offline training. The participants will later receive special challenges and the winner will be announced in August 2023.
