Jesse Choi, Mother Corla, and Keisya Levronka Occupy Google Trending 2022
JAKARTA - Social media was shocked by various events during 2022. However, it's not just a matter of incidents, several community figures have topped the trending searches for Google Indonesia.
In the Figure category, Indonesian people are more likely to look for someone who provides real and simple inspiration in their daily life, such as “Mother Corla”, “Jesse Choi”, “Grace Tahir” and “Kak Jill”.
If you are unfamiliar with these names, Mother Corla or whose real name is Cynthia Corla Pricillia is known to the public because of her live actions on Instagram which are often viral. Mother Corla also often displays daily life such as working, dancing, and so on in Germany.
Jesse Choi, is a man born in South Korea who is currently the husband of the beautiful singer and artist Maudy Ayunda. Meanwhile, Grace Tahir went viral because of her video insinuating Indra Kesuma (Indra Kenz), 'Crazy Rich Medan' who was caught up in the alleged Binomo fraud case. Finally, Jill suddenly became the talk of netizens because of her unusual action when selling curtains on TikTok. Sister Jill now has a jargon for selling, namely '10 waves right and 10 waves left'.
Apart from community leaders, other creatives who have explored trending on Google are films. Films based on true stories have become popular this year, such as "KKN di Desa Penari", "Miracle in Cell No.7".

Meanwhile, in terms of music, it is slightly different from the previous year. This year, the music category will focus on searching for song lyrics. From "Ojo Dibandingke song lyrics" performed by young singer Farel Prayoga, to "Hati-hati di Jalan" song lyrics by Tulus.

Based on data from Google, this year, for the first time, local Indonesian musicians have stolen global attention. 3 out of 10 songs that enter trending searches in the song category, on Google worldwide. Among them: "Joko Tingkir" by Farel Prayoga, "Don't Want to End" by Keisya Levronka, and "Satru 2" by Denny Caknan and Happy Asmara.
