COVID-19 Update as of December 9: New Cases Appear 2,501, But Number of Recovered Reaches 4,711
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 53,846 specimens were examined with the results of 2,501 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,695,010 people and active cases have decreased by 2,246 to 43,316 cases", quoted data from the Task Force, Friday, December 9.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 818 cases and a total of 1,528,191 cases. Followed by West Java with 610 new cases for a total of 1,226,086 cases. The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,200 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 902 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 459 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 298 recovered cases.

"The positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 12.16 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,182 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
To date, 203,812,556 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,417,086 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
