Acting Governor Heru Of Traditional Market Kritisi Under The Still Kumuh DKI Provincial Government
JAKARTA - The traditional market owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in Central Jakarta has begun to be criticized by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono. This was conveyed when Acting Governor Heru participated during a leadership meeting (rapim) with the Central Jakarta City Government.
The condition of traditional markets in Central Jakarta is getting slum and dirty. Heru asked the Central Jakarta City Government to rearrange a number of traditional markets.
Acting Governor Heru instructed the Mayor of Central Jakarta, Dhany Sukma, to immediately reorganize the traditional market owned by the DKI provincial government in Central Jakarta.
"I ask that there be good market examples, there are three markets, namely Serdang Market, Nangka Bungur Market and Rawa Buffalo Market, so we ask for it to be repaired," Heru told reporters, Monday, December 5.
Heru also said that the restructuring of traditional markets was carried out to become a pilot market in order to make traders and buyers feel comfortable.
In addition to structuring traditional markets, Heru also asked the park to be arranged and reforestationed by planting trees.
"Yes, I also asked for parks, reforestation problems, and tree planting," he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Central Jakarta, Dhany Sukma, stated that his party would follow up on the order of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.
"It was requested (by the Governor) to arrange it. It was tidied up," said Dhany Sukma.
Dhany said, apart from market management, it is also necessary to organize the park, plant trees.
"In addition to markets, it is also conveyed related to reforestation issues, tree planting, road identification and general, road daily tasks such as slippery roads, greened trees," he said.
