Meta Starts Trial of Feed and Reels Scheduling on Instagram

JAKARTA - Meta seems to be testing a new feature that allows Instagram users to schedule their posts on the platform.

This capability was discovered by Twitter user @WFBrother. The user also shared how this scheduling feature works.

Based on what @WFBrother shared, you can schedule your posts, including Reels when you create new content.

When you have selected a photo or video to upload, go to Advanced Settings, and you will find the Schedule this post button, after which a new tab will appear that will ask you to schedule when it will be posted, starting with the day and time.

Once you're done setting up your schedule, you can still change it at any time. You will see a new tab (Schedule content) on your profile. In that tab you can find, and also rearrange scheduling.

Meta later confirmed the existence of this new feature in a statement to Social Media Today that read: “We are currently testing the ability to schedule content with a percentage of our global community.”

If you see a post from a social media developer, Alessandro Paluzzi, work on this feature has started in last July.

Then in August, Meta confirmed to TechCrunch that “This is an early prototype of an experience that we didn't test publicly.”

Although now the feature has been launched on the Instagram community, there is no certainty when this feature will be used by all users globally, let's wait for future updates.
