Wearing A Prisoner's Vest And Holding A Piece Of Paper, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan Is Ready For Obstruction Of Justice Trial

JAKARTA - The former Head of Internal Security Bureau (Karo Paminal) of the Profession and Security (Propam) Division, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, will undergo a trial for the obstruction of justice (OOJ) case or obstruct the investigation process.

According to VOI monitoring, Hendra Kurniawan arrived at the South Jakarta District Court at 08.48 WIB. He was closely guarded by the police. There were even two fully armed police officers.

Hendra, who appeared to be handcuffed, wore a long white shirt wrapped in a prisoner's vest with the number 45.

In addition, there is also Kombes Agus Nur Patria in the group. He wore a vest with the number 44.

They were immediately taken to the detention room. Originally, the trial was to be held at 10:00 WIB.

Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto, said the trial would be conducted separately.

"There are two assemblies, the first one will be at 10 am for Brigadier General Hendra and his friends. Then the second one at 14 o'clock defendant Chuck and his friends," said Djuyamto when contacted, Wednesday, October 19.

For information, in the case of obstruction of justice, seven people have been named as suspects. They are Ferdy Sambo, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, Kombes Agus Nur Patria, Commissioner Chuck Putranto, Commissioner Baiquni Wibowo, AKBP Arif Rachman Arifin, and AKP Irfan Widyanto.

They are suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) Number 19 of 2016 UU ITE. In addition, they were also charged with Article 55 paragraph (1) and/or Article 221 paragraph (1) 2 and/or Article 233 of the Criminal Code.
