Shooting Gambling In Asahan Sumut Raided, Police Use Game Chip As Evidence

NORTH SUMATERA - personnel from the Jatanras Sat Reskrim Unit of the Asahan Police arrested three perpetrators of shooting fish gambling on Sei Silau Street, Binjai Serbangan Village, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.

Asahan Police Chief AKBP Roman Smaradhana Elhaj said the three gamblers arrested by the officers were suspected of being operators.

"Arrested gambling operators and also fish-shooting gamblers," he said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 6.

The three gamblers are SS (45) and MI (35) residents of Air Joman District, and CA (42) residents of Simbut-umbut Village, East Kisaran District, Asahan Regency.

Roman said the three gambling operators were arrested on Sei Silau Street, Binjai Serbangan Village, Air Joman District, Asahan Regency on Monday, October 3.

The disclosure of the fish shooting gambling case was made possible thanks to information from the public who mentioned gambling activities on Sei Silau Street, Binjai Serbangan Village.

Roman said, from the fish shooting gambling location, evidence was also confiscated in the form of two fish shooting gambling tables, two game chips, a Realme 4 cellphone, and IDR 1,650,000 in cash.

"Currently, the three gambling operators together with evidence have been brought to the Asahan Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further legal proceedings," said Roman.
