Checks Luke Enembe Today, KPK: Summons Have Been Sent And Received
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe today, Monday, September 26. The summons has been properly sent and received by Luke.
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the examination was scheduled to be held at the KPK's Merah Putih Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He ensured that there would be no changes to the schedule.
"So far, it is according to the agenda as the summons we have sent and received by the suspect and his legal advisers," Ali told reporters on Monday, September 26.
Ali hopes that Lukas will be present at the scheduled examination. His presence is needed to make clear the allegations of corruption that ensnared him.
"KPK certainly hopes that the party in question (Lukas, ed) will fulfill the summons," he said.
As previously reported, Lukas Enembe will be called up again for the second time on Monday, September 26. On the first call, the Governor of Papua was not present due to illness.

However, his attorney, Stefanus Roy Rening, stated that the client would not attend due to illness on Monday, September 26. This was conveyed by him when he came to the KPK's Merah Putih Building on Friday, September 23.
"You are not allowed to attend on Monday. So we ask that the Governor be cooperative, so we come early to convey this because the doctor's health development according to the doctor has decreased a bit," he said at that time.
In addition, he also asked Lukas to be allowed to go to Singapore for treatment. This governor had a stroke and claimed he could not speak.
Stefanus even specifically asked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to give permission. Moreover, Luke's current condition is called worrisome.
"With the poor condition, with the governor's health condition, on behalf of the legal team, I ask President Jokowi to give him permission for treatment abroad," he said.
"Our legal team views that if these steps are not taken by the state, the atmosphere in Papua will be not harmonious," concluded Stefanus.
