President Jokowi Gives IDR 500 Million For Amputee Soccer National Team That Performs At The World Cup: If You Come Home Champion, It's a Different Matter

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received athletes and coaches of the Amputee Football National Team at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 21 yesterday.

On this occasion, Jokowi advised the national team to prepare well. The reason, they will appear in the Amputation Football World Cup in Istanbul Turkey, 1-9 October.

Jokowi said the players would carry the name of Indonesia. For that, he hopes the national team can achieve proud achievements.

"Good practice and full of discipline so that his achievements can make all our people proud," said Jokowi, as quoted by Antara.

Jokowi also said that the government had prepared the needs and facilities for the amputee soccer team. In fact, there are additional funds from the number one person in Indonesia.

"Add a little more for saving, ladies and gentlemen, to the match which will be held in Turkey later, for IDR 500 million, for saving. When you come home, it will be a different matter," said Jokowi.

Indonesia advances to the Amputation Football World Cup for the first time. Tickets to the finals were obtained after passing the qualifying round which took place in Bangladesh.

At the World Cup later, Indonesia will be joined in Group C with England, Argentina and the United States.
