Youngest Son Of Deputy Attorney General For Intelligence Died In Accident On Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road

JAKARTA - The youngest son of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) Amir Yanto became the victim of a series of accidents on the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road KM 253.

The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the AGO, Ketut Sumedana, confirmed that the Jamintel child died in an accident that occurred on Sunday, September 18 yesterday.

"It's true (Jamintel's son died in an accident)," said Ketut when confirmed, Monday, September 19.

The truth of the information was obtained after Ketut visited the funeral home in Jakarta on the evening of Sunday, September 18, to confirm the news circulating in the community.

Based on the Antara report, news of the death of Jamintel's youngest son Amir Yanto circulated through a chain message that read:

“Innalilllahi Wa Innailahi Rojiun, sad news that Ananda Muhammad Singgih Adika Bin Amir Yanto passed away (Born: Depok, 24 August 1999 - Died: Brebes, 18 September 2022) the youngest son of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, Dr. Amir Yanto, tonight, 18 September 2022. Please pray for the ladies and gentlemen."

In addition, a number of Adhyaksa officials also uploaded statuses on the WhatsApp instant chat application expressing their condolences for the disaster experienced by Jamintel Amir Yanto's family. One of them was uploaded by the former Kasipenkum DKI Jakarta Nirman Nawawi.

The accident occurred at around 14.15 WIB involving approximately eight vehicles. The incident killed one person and injured dozens of others.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. Iqbal Alqudusy confirmed the accident was triggered by thick smoke caused by burning weeds on the outskirts of the toll road.

"The smoke from the burning caused the road to darken, resulting in a series of accidents," said Iqbal.
