JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said that the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) to help people affected by the transfer of fuel subsidies (BBM) had gone well.

"I see that the distribution has gone well and I want the distribution to be carried out easily, quickly and on target", said Jokowi at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 16.

The government has prepared BLT BBM for 20.65 million Beneficiary Families (KPM) for IDR 150 thousand four times with a total budget of IDR 12.4 trillion which was given in two stages.

This means that per stage, IDR 300 thousand is given in September and December 2022.

"On September 3, 2022, I ordered the minister of finance, minister of social affairs, and minister of manpower to immediately distribute BLT BBM and Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) and the distribution has started massively at post offices for BLT BBM since the end of last August", added the President.

In several working visits to the regions, President Jokowi also participated in distributing BLT BBM.

"I always reviewed the implementation firsthand yesterday in Jayapura district than in Saumlaki, Tanimbar Islands district and also in Bandar Lampung City and yesterday I also saw also in Maluku province in Southeast Maluku district in Tual city in the Aru Islands and Southwest Maluku district", added the President.

According to Social Minister Tri Rismaharini in the press conference, as of Friday, September 16, 2022, at 09.00 WIB, PT Pos Indonesia has distributed BLT BBM in 482 regencies and cities for 12,701,985 KPM.

"It is hoped that this week PT Pos has paid BLT BBM at least 90 percent of the KPM target, which is 18,585,000 KPM", said Risma.

Risma said the Ministry of Social Affairs had also submitted all the data on prospective KPM recipients to PT Pos.

"That's what we do, we hope this month we will complete 100 percent", added Risma.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Manpower, Ida Faziah, said that the first phase of the distribution of Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) had been distributed to 4,112,052 recipients.

"We have received data from BPJS Employment, 5,099,915 who passed the selection at BPJS, then we did a 'screening' according to the regulations we made earlier, finally 4,361,792 workers passed. After that, there was verification and validation from the banks", said Ida.

From the banking verification, as many as 249,740 workers did not pass because they did not have an account number at the bank or their bank account was wrong.

"Later we will distribute it, there are two choices, opening an account at the Himbara bank or through PT Pos. So those who passed the first stage were 4,112,052 workers and we finished distributing them last Wednesday", added Ida.

The Ministry of Manpower stipulates the requirements for prospective recipients of the 2022 BSU, namely Indonesian citizens with a maximum salary of IDR 3.5 million per month or the same as the minimum wage in their area, until July 2022, he was recorded as an active participant in the BPJS Employment guarantee program, and not a civil servant or a member of the TNI-Police.

The 2022 BSU worth IDR 600 thousand per beneficiary is prioritized for workers who have not received other social assistance from the government, including assistance in the Pre-Employment Card Program and the Family Hope Program.

The initial data for workers with a maximum wage of IDR 3.5 million were 16 million workers which after the initial matching by the Ministry of Manpower, there were around 14,639,675 workers who were entitled to a wage subsidy of IDR 600 thousand which was paid all at once.
