Boosting Local Food Barns, Pangdam Udayana: 11 Hydrant Pumps Built In Bima NTB
BIMA - Food granaries in Indonesia continue to be boosted by its benefits. A total of 11 hydrant pumps have also been built in the Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), to support the community, including farmers, in meeting their water needs.
"This is probably the largest hydrant pump in the entire area of the Udayana Kodam IX," said Pangdam IX/Udayana, Major General Sonny Aprianto when inaugurating the hydrant pump in Monggo Village, Madapangga Subdistrict, Bima, quoted from his official statement, Friday, August 26.
With the spread of these hydrant pumps, the Commander invites the public to show the public the index of Indonesian agricultural products can be increased from local food barns.
"So that we can become a barn for food at least for our country and thankfully we can become a food barn for the world," he added.
Based on the Antara report, the hydrant pump program was realized thanks to donations from donors in Jakarta and Medan City. The manifestation of the value of tolerance as an Indonesian nation, said General Sonny, should be imitated by other communities.
"So ladies and gentlemen know that those who donate are also from different religions. They have excess sustenance to be able to help their distant relatives for the benefit of the people here," he said.

He hopes that the existence of the hydrant pump will really benefit the community. All programs implemented are for the benefit and to improve the welfare of the community.
"Here we are only doing this so that it will always be in the hearts of the people," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bima, Indah Damayanti Putri said that the existence of this hydrant pump program is a gift for all farmers and the community, especially in the Monggo Village and Candi Village areas. So he hopes that the community will take good care of it so that it can be used together.
"And of course, this will be recorded in history, this is clear evidence of the closeness of the TNI to its people," she said.
