Francesco Bagnaia's Resurrection Signal Starts To Worry Fabio Quartararo
JAKARTA - Monster Yamaha Racing MotoGP racer, Fabio Quartararo, admits he is worried about the race for the 2022 MotoGP world title. He is starting to worry about the rise of Lenovo Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia.
The Italian rider began to show his revival by winning the British MotoGP race at the Silverstone Circuit, Sunday, August 7. This is Bagnaia's second win in a row.
Previously, Bagnaia won the Dutch MotoGP race at the Assen Circuit, before the break in the second half of the 2022 season. This result brought him back into the championship competition.
With an additional 25 points from Silverstone, Bagnaia is now collecting 131 points. He is 49 points adrift of Quartararo who is at the top of the standings.
"We have to be wary of Pecco because he is the one who made the biggest difference at the moment in the last two races. So he is the one we have to watch out for", said Quartararo, as reported by Antara via the official MotoGP website.
Quartararo said the next task would be even more difficult. The reason is, that the next few races are considered more profitable for Bagnaia.
"Now we come to a race which, I wouldn't say difficult, but Austria with a lot of straights, Misano where Pecco is always fast, Aragon, it will be tough races", said the Frenchman.
Quartararo himself achieved unsatisfactory results in the British MotoGP. This Yamaha rider only finished in the eighth position. However, the result was enough to be grateful for.
"I think this is the best result with the medium tyre. We can see all the riders who entered the top 10, using the hard rear tyre, only us using the medium", said Fabio Quartararo.
