Kominfo Blocks Access To 15 PSE Online Games Containing Gambling Elements, Domino Qiu Qiu Is On The List
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, August 2, the Minister of Communication and Information (Kominfo), Johnny G. Plate revealed that Kominfo has cut off access to 15 PSE online games that contain elements of gambling.
Previously, Kominfo insisted that Domino Qiu Qiu was just an ordinary domino card game and could be played without using money.
However, after further verification, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics finally stated that Domino Qiu Qiu was included in an electronic system that contained elements of gambling.
Besides Domino Qiu Qiu, Kominfo also blocked 14 other electronic systems (SE) that facilitate online gambling activities, including Qiu Qiu, Topfun, Pop Domino, MVP Domino, Pop Poker, Let's Domino Gaple QiuQiu Poker Online Game, Steve Domino QiuQiu Poker Slots Online Games, Higgs Slots Domino Gaple QiuQiu, Ludo Dream, Domino QiuQiu 99 Boyaa QQ KIU, Domino Gaple Boya QiuQiu Capsa, Poker Texas Boyaa, Poker Pro.id, Pop Big2, and Pop Gaple.

In his release, Johnny explained that online sites or applications that contain elements of gambling will be subject to strict termination of access.
"The Ministry of Communication and Informatics has consistently cut off access to gambling content, and so far we have blocked as many as 534.183 gambling content found on internet sites since 2018. This shows our strong commitment to eradicating online gambling," he said.
The Minister of Communications and Informatics appealed to the public to understand that PSEs who carry out online gambling activities violate the regulations of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions Article 27 paragraph (2), and Article 96 letter (a) Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019 concerning the Implementation Electronic Systems and Transactions. The PSE is not permitted to operate in Indonesia.
"The government invites all elements of society to jointly fight online gambling which will certainly harm the community," concluded Minister Johnny.
