Improved Health, Roy Suryo Is Ready To Be Questioned As A Suspect In The Borobudur Meme Case Today

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo will again undergo further investigation as a suspect in the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme similar to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Metro Jaya Regional Police. His lawyer said his client's physical condition had started to improve.

"God willing, we will attend, and we make sure our clients are as cooperative as possible. Respect and go through the legal process," said Roy Suryo's lawyer, Pitra Romadoni when contacted, Thursday, July 28.

According to him, the presence of his client in the examination later as evidence of cooperation with the course of the case. He also confirmed that Roy Suryo would certainly attend.

Regarding Roy Suryo's illness, Pitra did not elaborate further. Just to emphasize, his client will be present in the examination today.

Originally, the former Menpora's physical condition had deteriorated when he underwent a 12-hour examination on Friday, July 22. Until finally, investigators decided to temporarily postpone the process of taking the information.

"It's starting to get better," said Pitra.

Metro Jaya Police has scheduled a follow-up examination of Roy Suryo in the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme that resembles President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Thursday, July 28. Later, the ex-Menpora will be given a statement as a suspect.

This examination is a continuation of the previous one. This is because the information-taking process, on Friday, July 22, had to be postponed

The examination lasted approximately 12 hours. Where Roy began to provide information at 10.30 western Indonesia time and came out at around 22.18 western Indonesia time.

At that time, Roy Suryo showed a state of exhaustion. He was in a wheelchair and carried to his car.

In this case, Roy Suryo was charged with Article 28 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning ITE.

Then Article 156a of the Criminal Code and Article 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning criminal law regulations.
