Official! Sri Mulyani Announces State Budget Surplus Of IDR 73 Trillion In Semester I 2022
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani firmly stated that the realization of the APBN until the close of the first semester of 2022 recorded a surplus of Rp. 73.6 trillion.
According to the Minister of Finance, the book was obtained from higher state revenues with an achievement of Rp1,317.2 trillion compared to expenditures of Rp1,243.6 trillion.
"This very positive performance was influenced by the windfall from commodity revenue and was supported by the economic recovery," he said through a virtual channel when giving a presentation to the media crew on Wednesday, July 27.
The Minister of Finance explained that the successful score in the first half could not be separated from the revenue sector which rose significantly. For example, tax revenue grew 55.7 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp. 868.3 trillion from the previous Rp. 680 trillion in the first semester of 2021.
Then, customs and excise increased 37.2 percent yoy to Rp167.6 trillion from Rp122.2 trillion. Then non-tax state revenues (PNBP) rose 35.8 percent yoy from the previous Rp207 trillion to 281 trillion.
"State income grew significantly supported by increased economic activity, the impact of the implementation of the HPP Law (Harmonization of Tax Regulations), and rising commodity prices," he said.
As for the state expenditure sector, it is stated that central government spending has touched Rp. 876.5 trillion, or grew 10 percent yoy from the previous period of Rp. 796.3 trillion.
Furthermore, transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) were realized Rp367.1 trillion or experienced a negative growth of 1.8 percent from the first semester of 2021 which amounted to Rp373.9 trillion.
"We also need to be more careful about the continued increase in commodity prices in the future," continued the Minister of Finance.
For this achievement, the state treasurer revealed that the financing of the new budget was Rp. 153.5 trillion. This figure is much lower than the forecast for this year which amounted to Rp. 868 trillion.
"We also still have Silpa (the remaining more than budget financing) of Rp227.1 trillion. With all of this, the budget deficit target is expected to be lower than the initial plan of 4.5 percent of GDP (gross domestic product)," closed the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
