BMKG Issues Early Warning For Extreme Weather In The Sorong Region Of West Papua
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) of Sorong Station has issued an early warning for extreme weather in the Sorong Regency and surrounding areas in West Papua, Saturday, July 30 at around 22.00 WIT.
There was moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds at 21:30 WIT in Sorong Regency.
This situation, as quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 27, covers the Districts of Makbon, Salawati, Seget, Aimas, Klamono, Sayosa, Segun, Mayamuk, Klabot, Mariat, Klayili, Klaso, Moisegen, Sorong, Bagun, Wemak, Saengkeduk, Malabotom, Konhir , Klasafet, Central Salawati, East Sayosa.
Other areas in West Papua, namely South Sorong Regency, include the Districts of Teminabuan, Sawiat, Seremuk, Konda, Saifi. Then Raja Ampat Regency includes North Salawati, Central Salawati. And Tambrauw Regency includes Selemkai District and its surroundings.
The extreme weather can spread to other areas in Sorong Regency including Beraur District, South Salawati, Klawak, Maudus, Sunook, Buk, Botain. South Sorong Regency includes Moswaren, Wayer, Kais, Fokour, Salkma, Kais Darat.
Similarly, Raja Ampat Regency includes North Waigeo, South Waigeo, East Misool, West Waigeo, East Waigeo, Mayalibit Bay, Meos Mansar, South Misool, Warwarbomi, West Waigeo Islands, Waisai City, Tiplol Mayalibit, North Batanta, West Salawati, Supnin, South Battalion.
Tambrauw Regency includes Yembun, Moraid. Maybrat Regency includes Ayamaru, North Ayamaru, Mare, South Ayamaru, Ayamaru Jaya, South Ayamaru Jaya, Central Ayamaru, West Ayamaru, Central Aitinyo, South Mare.
Until in Sorong City which includes Sorong, East Sorong, West Sorong, Sorong Islands, North Sorong, Sorong Manoi, Sorong City, Klaurung, Malaimsimsa, Maladum Mes, and its surroundings.
