The Mystery Of 1 Container Containing Combat Weapons In Long Harbor Begins To Be Answered

JAKARTA - Korem 043/Garuda Hitam (Gatam) Lampung explained that Customs found a container containing weapons at Panjang Port for joint training activities with Garuda Shield at the Combat Training Center (Puslatpur).

"The weapons will be used for training in Garuda Shield activities so that data collection and matching is carried out before being taken to Puslatpur," said Head of Information for Korem 043/Gatam Major Cpm Eva Y. Kamal, when contacted in Bandarlampung, Sunday, July 24, as reported by Antara.

The weapons in the US Army's Tricon Container have been known to the parties and will be used in the Garuda Shield exercise.

"This is not the first time this has been done because previously several exercises like this have been carried out. In this activity, there are also who has done what, even those who have the territory of the Dandim are already there, this is a planned activity," said Major Eva.

Regarding the alleged problem in the completeness of the documents for the weapons, Major Eva threw the matter to the Indonesian Military Center for Research and Development.

"Currently we are checking the completeness of the container documents because we have to keep checking and checking, both when leaving and arriving at the destination location, and of course there are instructions from the center," he said again.

Pelindo II Panjang Lampung Public Relations and Customer Service Supervisor Frans Rahardian explained that the weapons in the US Army's Tricon Container were not included in the ship's manifest.

"The container containing the weapons was not included in the ship's manifest, such as passengers, luggage, and equipment," said Frans Rahardian.

According to him, if the weapons containers do not have a manifest, there are a number of possibilities, such as re-administering them or being sent back to their countries of origin.

"So, I emphasize, the weapons only do not have a manifest. Currently the items are being taken care of by the TNI AD. Regarding the results, we are also still waiting from the Korem," he said.

Previously, there were many chain messages regarding the Lampung Panjang Port Customs and Excise which sealed 1 US Army tricon container containing weapons that were not listed on the temporary import permit list submitted by the vendor PT JT Square.
