Surabaya Prosecutor's Office Examines 25 Witnesses Regarding Satpol PP Officials Selling Confiscated Items Of Hundreds Of Millions
SURABAYA - The Surabaya District Prosecutor's Office examined 25 witnesses after the determination of the suspect in the Surabaya City Civil Service Police Unit in the case of selling confiscated goods with a value of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah.
Head of the Surabaya District Attorney's Office, Danang Suryo Wibowo, said that the 25 people who had been questioned were those who were related to this case.
"There have been 25 people investigated in connection with this case, including third parties," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 21.
With this examination, his party hopes that new evidence will be found in the case.
"What is clear at this time is in accordance with the applicable legal process. In the near future this will be delegated to the court," he said.
Asked about the counter-resistance from the suspect to the case, he said that so far there has been no formal action leading to it.
"That is the suspect's right," he said.

The Surabaya District Attorney has previously named a state civil apparatus (ASN) who is also a high-ranking Surabaya City Civil Service Police Unit with the initials F as a suspect on suspicion of corruption in the sale of evidence resulting from control.
Danang Suryo Wibowo said that the Surabaya Satpol PP official with the initials F was named a suspect based on the Suspect Determination Order Number: Print-05/M.5.10/Fd.1/07/2022 dated July 13, 2022.
"The suspect in around May allegedly sold evidence from the control activities carried out by the Surabaya City Satpol PP at the Surabaya City Satpol PP Warehouse, Tanjungsari Street Number 11-15 Surabaya to other parties for around IDR 500 million," he said.
