TKP Of Pertamina Tank Truck Deadly Accident, Police Take 13 Collision Points
JAKARTA - Police have conducted a crime scene (TKP) at the site of the deadly Pertamina tanker truck accident in the Alternative Transyogi area of Cibubur, Bekasi, West Java.
During the crime scene, the police took pictures of 13 crash points with the aim of getting a chronological picture of the accident that took place on Monday, July 18 that afternoon.
"It is hoped that from these 13, we can describe the chronology of the initial occurrence of the accident, namely at the beginning, when, until the end of the accident," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Tuesday, July 19.
The photo was taken using a scanner. Starting from the starting point to the point where the Pertamina tanker truck stops.
In this way, it is hoped that the cause of the accident can be determined. Although, the temporary assumption is still on the brakes failed.
"We really want to describe the situation where there is an accident, and we will determine the first point of impact. Because here there are so many crash points," he said.
It is hoped that, in the next two or three days, the series of accidents can be clearly described. Until finally it was determined the factors that caused the Pertamina tanker truck to hit dozens of vehicles.
"Later with these 13 points one or three days we will be able to describe it," said Latif.
For information, the fatal accident occurred in the Alternative Transyogi area of Cibubur, Bekasi, on Monday, July 18. Pertamina's tanker truck hit dozens of vehicles causing 10 people to die.
So far, the exact cause is not known. However, it is suspected that Pertamina's tanker truck experienced a failed brake.
