IndEX Survey: The Electability Of Prabowo, Anies Baswedan, And Ganjar In Strict Competition
KULON PROGO - Political observer Arif Nurul Imam assesses the electability of the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, who is in tight competition with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in the race towards the 2024 Presidential Election.
The results of the IndEX Research survey revealed that the electability of the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto took the top position.
Meanwhile, what surprised the electability of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, was to replace the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo.
"Based on the survey, Ganjar and Anies are still competing, while Prabowo is still ahead", said political observer and director of IndoStrategi Research and Consulting Arif Nurul Imam in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Friday, July 15.
According to Arif, the voters of Anies and Ganjar are indeed voters who can still shift, because they are not loyal voters who really depend on political issues and dynamics. Meanwhile, the majority of Prabowo voters are loyal voters, so they are safe in the top position.
"In addition, Prabowo has the support of a political party, namely Gerindra. While Anies and Ganjar, although they have high electability, do not have the support of political parties, so public support is still floating, and can change at any time", he said, quoted by Antara.
Previously, indEX Research Executive Director, Vivin Sri Wahyuni, in a press release in Jakarta, said Prabowo was still ahead in the 2024 presidential candidate market, while Anies replaced Ganjar and took second place.
Vivin said that Anies' electability has continued to increase since the beginning of 2022, while Prabowo and Ganjar have fluctuated in the past year.

The emergence of Anies' name, according to Vivin, will further ensure the political path after his term as regional head ends in October. The findings of the Indonesia Elections and Strategic (indEX) Research survey show that Anies' electability has skyrocketed to 17.6 percent.
With this achievement, Anies replaced Ganjar, who previously often ranked second in the presidential candidate market. Ganjar's electability is slightly adrift of Anies, which is 17.1 percent. The first position is still occupied by Prabowo Subianto with electability of 22.0 percent.
"Another factor is the certainty of political party support for Anies and Ganjar to this day, there is also no clarity", she said.
Therefore, even though Ganjar and Anies have electability modalities, voters still hesitate to provide support.
"What is certain is that only Prabowo will get the boat, while Anies and Ganjar are not clear whether there is a party that carries it or not", she also said.
