Malaysia Masters 2022 Results: Representatives Of Japan And Korea Brushed Off, Rinov/Pitha And Gregoria Mariska Win Quarter-final Tickets

JAKARTA - Indonesia's mixed doubles, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas, managed to win a ticket to the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Masters 2022. The result was obtained after they defeated Japanese representatives, Yuki Kaneko/Misaki Matsumoto.

In the round of 16 matches at Axiata Arena, Malaysia on Thursday, July 7 at noon WIB, Rinov/Pitha played impressively. They only needed 35 minutes to ensure victory from two straight games with a score of 21-15 and 21-18.

The victory over the Japanese representatives then sent Rinov/Pitha to face the Dutch representatives, Robin Tableing/Selena Piek. On paper, it is believed that Rinov/Pitha will swing smoothly into the next round.

Apart from Rinov/Pitha, the women's singles representative for Indonesia, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, was also smooth. He also qualified for the last eight after winning over the representative of South Korea, Kim Ga Eun.

Appearing in the round of 16, Gregoria played quickly to secure a further ticket. Gregoria only needed 25 minutes to make sure the numbers 21-11 and 21-9.
