Jokowi And The President Of The UAE Discussing On Ukraine And Russia

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and the President of the United Arab Emirates (PEA)/UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan exchanged thoughts on the war involving Ukraine and Russia during their second meeting in Abu Dhabi.

"Regarding global issues, the President has exchanged ideas about the situation in Ukraine, including the results of visits to Kyiv and Moscow," Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said in an online statement related to the meeting between Jokowi and the PEA President.

According to Retno, President Jokowi emphasized that although the situation was still very difficult, the spirit of peace must not fade.

President Jokowi also emphasized to the PEA President about the importance of all parties contributing so that the food and fertilizer supply chain can recover quickly.

Prior to Abu Dhabi, President Joko Widodo visited Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and visited Moscow to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During visits to Kyiv and Moscow, President Jokowi brought a mission of peace to the two countries, which are currently involved in war.
