Qatar World Cup To Be Held At The End Of The Year, What Will Happen To The 2022 Club World Cup?
JAKARTA - As Champions League winners, Real Madrid earns tickets to two other competitions which they can add to their trophy cabinet.
Those are the European Super Cup and Club World Cup. However, while all the details for the continental title have been finalized, there are many doubts surrounding the 2022 Club World Cup.
The holding of the World Cup in Qatar, which takes place from November 21 to December 18, leaves no room for the Club World Cup calendar which in 2019, before being hit by the pandemic, was played on the second and third weekends of December.
The window on that calendar now appears to be closed for the tournament, which is also hosted by FIFA.
The forecast shows the last days of February 2023 and the first days of March 2023 to hold the tournament.
However, in those two months, the last 16 of the Champions League will be played, which could affect Madrid's participation, should Los Blanco progress from the group stage.
As of today, there is also no place for the tournament, which in its last edition was played in the United Arab Emirates.

The lack of a designated place also affects the roster, as FIFA reserves a place for the champions of the host nation. Currently, only three clubs are theoretically guaranteed a place in the tournament: Real Madrid, Seattle Sounders, and Wydad Casablanca.
The winners of the Copa Libertadores, Asian Champions League, and Oceania Champions League have yet to be determined.
