Chelsea Officially Changes The Board Of Directors, Todd Boehly Takes The Position Of Marina Granovskaia

JAKARTA - Chelsea officially announced changes to the club's board of directors and leadership. These included farewell to the director before Marina Granovskaia.

Todd Boehly, the club's new owner, said in a statement on the club's website that this change in the board of directors marks the start of their long-term vision and plans.

"And continue to compete for the highest honors in line with the history that adorns Chelsea's journey," said Boehly as reported on Wednesday, June 22.

Boehly himself was immediately appointed as chairman of the club's board of directors based in London. He shifted the position previously placed by Granovskaia.

Meanwhile, Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano, who are co-owners of the club, are on the board alongside Mark Walter, Hansjörg Wyss, Jonathan Goldstein, Barbara Charone, Lord Daniel Finkelstein and James Pade.

"We thank Marina for her best years of dedication to the Club and wish her all the best for the future," added Boehly.

"We look forward to supporting Thomas Tuchel, Emma Hayes and their team, and will provide proactive and decisive support to make loyal Chelsea fans and our partners proud."

Boehly will serve as interim sporting director until the club appoints a successor. With that position then he will be key in the policy of purchasing Chelsea players in the nearest transfer window.

However, Granovskaia agreed that she will remain available to accompany Boehly and the club to the extent necessary to support this transition period.

Granovskaia is actually an important figure in the body of the Blues. Women of Canadian and Russian citizenship played a major role in the transfers of star players ever presented to Stamford Bridge.
