KPK Reportedly Visited Pertamina's Office, What's Up?
JAKARTA - It was reported that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators visited the PT Pertamina (Persero) office today.
It's just that the Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, doesn't want to say much about this. He only said he would re-examine the information related to the search.
"Regarding that, we will try to re-check whether there are any forced or search activities at the places mentioned above, Pertamina, or other places", Ali told reporters, Friday, June 17.
Ali confirmed that his party is currently investigating allegations of corruption related to the purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at PT Pertamina.
However, he did not want to explain to what extent the investigation process was being carried out.
"What is certain is that some time ago we were also investigating the alleged LNG corruption", said Ali.
"Later, we will definitely inform you that if we have received information, there must have been activities at Pertamina, related to searches or data collection", he added.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
Previously, the Attorney General's Office submitted an investigation into the alleged indication of fraud and abuse of authority in the LNG Portfolio management policy at PT Pertamina (Persero) to the KPK.
Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, the head of the Legal Information Center at the Attorney General's Office, said that the Director of Investigation of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes of the Attorney General's Office had carried out investigations related to the case.
According to Leonard, the investigation has been carried out since March 22, 2021, on suspicion of indications of fraud and abuse of authority in the LNG Portfolio management policy at PT Pertamina (Persero).
However, based on the results of coordination with the KPK, it is known that KPK investigators are currently investigating the same case. For this reason, the Attorney General's Office has invited the anti-corruption commission to carry out an investigation.
