Residents Of The Indonesia-Malaysia Border In Kapuas Hulu Difficulty With Clean Water, Regent Promises To Find Solutions

West Kalimantan - The Regent of Kapuas Hulu, Fransiskus Diaan, said that residents of Semuntik Village, which is on the RI-Malaysia border, are now having difficulty getting clean water.

"I received a complaint from the community in Semuntik Village, which is a border area, that there is still a shortage of clean water," said Fransiskus Diaan, after carrying out a working visit, in Semuntik Village, Badau District, Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan), quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 12.

Fransiskus said that clean water is a basic need of the community that needs serious attention.

So that in the future, he said, through the relevant technical agencies, solutions will be found so that people no longer complain about the difficulty of getting clean water.

"We will find a solution for clean water, whether later through a new water source or it could be drilled wells, later through the relevant agencies," he said.

He said, as the community said, the current river could no longer be used, so there needed to be other solutions.

In addition to the issue of clean water, Fransiskus Diaan also reminded people to always maintain a healthy lifestyle, which can be started from the family and community environment.

"Although the COVID-19 pandemic is gradually improving with this transition period, people should not be complacent, continue to take care of their health, and follow the government's recommendations for vaccination," he said.
