Film About The Strangeness Of Polygamy, In The Name Of Heaven Screened In Four Countries

JAKARTA - The film in the name of Heaven will be broadcast on June 16, 2022 in four countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. The film was produced by Melia Indriati and Fransen Susanto as executive producers, and directed by Adis Kayl Yurahmah. While the screenplay was written by Gavrila Godelva.

With a duration of 104 minutes, the film In the Name of Heaven is a romantic drama film that tells of the meeting of Naya (Della Dartyan) and Attar (Miqdad Addausy) when both of them lose their loved ones.

Naya must lose her fiancé who is the father of the baby in her womb due to a tragic accident, while Attar loses his lover, Salwa (Amanda Rigby), who is forced to marry the man of his father's choice.

Five years later, Attar, who has married Naya, is reunited with Salwa, who almost commits suicide because she feels that her parents cannot protect her from her abusive husband. Their old story was opened again.

Attar tries to help Salwa, but without realizing it, it actually brings chaos in his household with Naya. Is polygamy the best choice for them?

"The message I want to convey is that this is not a polygamous film, this is a film about women, about family, that life is a choice. We want to be in a place where we decide," said Adis during a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, 9. June.

"So we have to be able to choose which one is the best, prioritize the family. We have to know which one we have to prioritize," he continued.

Apart from Della Dartyan, Miqdad Addausy, and Amanda Rigby, the film In the Name of Heaven also stars Wanda Hamidah, Ayu Dyah Pasha, Pet Pagau, Bella Amalia Faida, Yusril Fahriza, Natascha Germania, Tiffany Leonardy, and many more.

The film also featured special performances from Ustad Das'ad Latif, Meriam Bellina, and Mang Saswi.

"Apart from the story, the characters played by the players they can bring it very deeply for me. Hopefully for others who have watched it can also feel the same vibe," concluded Adis quoted from ANTARA.
