BMKG Monitors 12 Hotspots In North Sumatra

MEDAN - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) monitored the presence of 12 hot spots in North Sumatra Province on Tuesday, May 31.

Forecast of BBMKG Region 1 Medan, Nora Sinaga, in Medan, Tuesday, May 31, said the 12 hot spots were monitored based on the monitoring of fashionable sensors via the Tera, Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA20 satellites.

Each of the 12 hot spots was monitored at one point in Paranginan District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, and three points in Sungai Kanan District, and South Labuhanbatu Regency.

Then one point in Pahae District and two points in Pangribuan District, North Tapanuli Regency, one point in Nassau District, Toba Regency, one point in Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency, two points in Harian District, Samosir Regency, and one point in Kolang District, City of Sibolga.

Regarding the weather, Tuesday afternoon was generally cloudy with the potential for light to moderate rain in the Madina, Karo, Nias Islands, Dairi, North Tapanuli, Humbanghasundutan, Langkat, Deli Serdang, Asahan, and surrounding areas.

At night, there is the potential for light to moderate rain to occur in Madina, Karo, Nias Islands, Dairi, North Tapanuli, Humbanghasundutan, Langkat, Deli Serdang, Simalungun, Asahan, Toba, Samosir and surrounding areas.
