Visiting His Battle Front Lines Outside Kyiv, President Zelensky: Thank You, Take Care

JAKARTA - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked and appreciated the struggle of his soldiers, as he visited his front line troops, marking the first official appearance outside Kyiv.

President Zelensky paid a visit to Ukrainian military line positions during his visit to the Kharkiv region. On that occasion, he wanted to know firsthand the battle situation there.

In addition, he also gave direct appreciation and appreciation to his soldiers, while holding a dialogue with those he called the heroes of the defense of Ukraine.

"I want to thank each of you for your dedication. You risked your life for all of us and our country. Thank you for defending Ukraine's independence. Take care of yourself!" President Zelensky said on the official website of the presidential office, as quoted on May 30.

Meanwhile, President Zelensky's Chief of Staff, Andriy Yermak, wrote on the Telegram application, the president also toured the second largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv.

Yermak said President Zelensky visited the destroyed buildings in person, stressing that replacement buildings would have to be equipped with bomb shelters.

The president's chief of staff added that 31 percent of the territory of the Kharkiv region is currently occupied by Russia, while another 5 percent has been retaken by Ukraine, having previously been occupied by Moscow forces.
