PPP Says There Have Been No Further Talks About The United Indonesia Coalition

JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) said that until today there has been no further discussion with Golkar and PAN regarding the future plans of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). Both about strategy and the names of presidential candidates for 2024.

"Not yet (yes, ed)," said PPP DPP chairman Ahmad Baidowi, confirmed by VOI, Friday, May 27.

This includes information that on June 4, PPP, Golkar and PAN will officially declare the coalition.

"Not yet," he said.

It is known that the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) was declared by Golkar, PAN and PPP on May 12 after the general leaders held a meeting.

If based on the votes in the 2019 election, this coalition has met the presidential threshold (PT) of 20 percent to carry a presidential candidate. Where Golkar has 12.31 percent, PAN 6.84 percent and PPP 4.52 percent. So that the total votes for the coalition became 23.67 percent.
