Enea Bastianini On The Possibility Of Becoming Part Of The Ducati Team: I Don't Know, It's Too Early

JAKARTA - Gresini Racing rider, Enea Bastianini, is one of the candidates for Francesco Bagnaia's duet partner in the Ducati factory team in MotoGP 2023. Currently, Ducati is still considering several names.

Besides Bastianini, there are also the names of Jack Miller and Jorge Martin. In fact, rumors, Alex Rins and Miguel Oliveira are also on the radar.

Bastianini admitted that he did not know whether he would be chosen by Ducati. According to him, it is still too early to know.

"Ducati wants to wait one more race to decide. I am fast, but all Ducati riders are very fast," said Bastianini in an interview with MotoGP.

"I don't know if next year I will be part of the factory Ducati team. It's still too early to understand it," he continued.

Currently, Bastianini wants to focus more on enjoying racing. He also doesn't want to be too burdened by the opportunities that lie ahead, including becoming the 2022 MotoGP world champion.

Right now, the goal is to keep trying to be at the front in every race. He wants to be consistent.

"I want to stay calm and that way I can race in the right mood. Very focused on enjoying racing, not just work, work and work," said Enea Bastianini.

Currently, the Italian rider is in third place in the MotoGP rider standings with 94 points. He is eight points adrift of Fabio Quartararo who leads with 102 points.
