Not Yet Teammates, Enea Bastianini And Francesco Bagnaia Already In "War" Comments

JAKARTA - Ducati's desire to pair Enea Bastianini with Francesco Bagnaia seems to be causing problems. The reason is, that the two riders have been involved in a commentary war.

Enea Bastianini, who is now defending Gresini Racing, said that Bagnaia did not want to be his teammate for fear of being rivaled. He boasted that he is currently the best Ducati rider.

"Pecco yesterday said he would prefer to stay with Jack. I think it's his decision, I don't know if Ducati will listen to him or not", Bastianini said, as quoted from the official MotoGP website.

"I think he prefers Miller because he is a leader at Ducati and he knows my potential, and I also think so with Martin. This could be a problem for him."

Bagnaia, who heard Bastianini's comment, immediately responded. He admits he chose Miller because of their friendship. not because he was afraid of Bastianini or Martin.

"He (Miller) is my teammate since 2019 and I know him very well. It's normal if you choose a partner to share the garage with, is the one who communicates with you more, spends a lot of time with you", said Bagnaia.

"Jack is my first choice because he is a friend, he is a good teammate. I love working with him", he continued.

This student of Valentino Rossi then said it doesn't matter if he has to partner with Bastianini or Martin. He left everything to the management of the team.

"I've always had a good relationship with all my teammates. Enea deserves her place, I think", said Bagnaia.
