Approved By Pontianak Mayor, The Regional Regulations Draft On Building Approval Is Expected To Boost Regional Revenue

West Kalimantan - Pontianak Mayor Edi Rusdi Kamtono said the four newly formed regional regulations (Raperda) could increase regional levies in the city.

The Raperda includes Building Approval (PBG), Employment, Smart City, and the arrangement of Street Vendors (PKL).

"We hope that each Raperda can improve the quality of development and have an impact on increasing revenue in the field of user fees in Pontianak City," said Edi Rusdi Kamtono in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 18.

He explained that the Raperda for PBG levies was in the context of the Job Creation Act, which was previously a Building Construction Permit (IMB) to become a PBG so that there would be revenue for the region.

Edi said that several regulations were made not only to regulate the minimum wage, such as the Raperda on employment. The relationship between workers and service users must also be strengthened in the Raperda, in addition, the need for a Pontianak Smart City legal umbrella to facilitate technical implementation.

"Then structuring and empowering street vendors. As a service and trade city, we hope that the community can have an entrepreneurial spirit but also become part of the development of Pontianak City," he said.

With the approval of the four Raperda, of course, it will become the basis for local officials in serving the community and also hope that the Raperda can encourage the community, especially business actors to participate in development in Pontianak City.

"These four Raperda are very important as material for technical implementation," he said.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Pontianak City DPRD, Satarudin added, that his party is working optimally to create this Raperda, which is carried out for the benefit of the people of Pontianak City.

"Moreover, the Raperda PBG is very urgent, because, with this Raperda, it can attract retribution," he said.

He asked the Pontianak City Government to prepare a Mayor Regulation (Perwa) related to the Raperda. Although on the way, continued Satarudin, the drafting of this Perda will go through an evaluation stage first by the Governor of West Kalimantan, before being finally ratified.

"If problems are found later, we will discuss them again," he said.
