Before Arriving In Washington, President Jokowi Transits In Amsterdam
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and their entourage transited in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tuesday 10 May on their way to Washington DC, United States of America, to attend the ASEAN-US Summit.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) transited at Schipol International Airport, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tuesday at 17.20 local time or 22.20 western Indonesia time, after traveling for approximately 14.5 hours by boarding the Garuda Indonesia Airplane GIA-1. According to information from the Secretariat Press Bureau of The President, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were greeted by the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mayerfas, and went straight to the waiting room.
Also accompanying President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi, and Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia.
President Jokowi and his entourage transited for about two hours to wait for aircraft refueling. After that, President Jokowi and his entourage continued their flight to Washington DC, United States, and were expected to arrive at Andrews Military Base, Washington DC at 21:30 local time on May 10, or 08.30 western Indonesia time, Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
