Compare With Anfield And Old Trafford, Deputy Governor Of DKI: JIS Eligible For Champions League Final To World Cup
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta deserves to be a venue for international football matches, such as the Champions League final to the World Cup.
This was conveyed by Riza through her Instagram account @arizapatria. Initially, this Gerindra Party politician said he visited a number of football stadiums in England.
He visited two stadiums, namely the Anfield stadium which is the home of the Liverpool football team and the Old Trafford stadium, the home of the Manchester United team.
"After the Eid prayer yesterday, I took the time to stop briefly at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool's headquarters with a capacity of 54,074 seats and @manchesterunited's Old Trafford Stadium which can accommodate 76,000 spectators," wrote Riza as quoted on Friday, May 6.
He then compared the splendor of the two stadiums with JIS. Riza said JIS has a bigger capacity than Anfield and Old Trafford.
The total audience capacity at JIS, which is located in Sunter, North Jakarta, reaches 82 thousand.
Not only that, Riza also said that JIS is also more modern than Anfield and Old Trafford because it has a retractable roof.
It was this condition, which made him believe that JIS could be a place to hold international sporting events such as the Champions League and the World Cup. "JIS has a roof that opens and closes that Anfield, Old Trafford and many stadiums in the world don't have," he said.
"In short, the Jakarta International Stadium is worthy of the champions league final, even the world cup final," he concluded.
