Champions League Semifinal Leg 1: 7 Goals Scored, Manchester City Beats Real Madrid At Etihad Stadium

JAKARTA - Manchester City won narrowly over Real Madrid in the first leg of the 2021/2022 Champions League semifinal, Wednesday, April 27 early morning WIB. The fight at the Etihad Stadium was marked by the creation of seven goals.

Manchester City beat Real Madrid 4-3. Capital is good enough for The Citizens to face Los Blancos in the second leg.

In this match, Manchester City took the lead quickly in the 2nd minute. Receiving the ball from Riyad Mahrez, Kevin De Bruyne brilliantly broke into the Real Madrid goal which was escorted by Thibaut Courtois.

De Bruyne was the creator of City's second goal in the 11th minute. This time, it was he who gave Gabriel Jesus a pass to break into the visitors' goal.

Madrid reduced the gap to 1-2 in the 33rd minute. Karim Benzema beats City goalkeeper Ederson after receiving the ball from Ferland Mendy.

In the second half, there were four goals that were created. It was started by Phil Foden's goal in the 53rd minute which put City 3-1 ahead.

But it was only two minutes later. Vinicius Junior successfully brought Madrid back to shorten the distance after calmly subduing Ederson.

In the 74th minute, City was again two goals ahead of Carlo Ancelotti's troops. This time, the executor was Bernardo Silva who created an extraordinary goal.

A disaster for the City. The visitors were awarded a penalty in the 82nd minute after Aymeric Laporte was caught touching the ball with his hand.

Karim Benzema who became the executor very calmly deceived Ederson. The 4-3 score for City's advantage lasted until the end of the match.

In the second leg, it will be Real Madrid's turn to host Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu, 4 May. With the elimination of away goals, Los Blancos' three goals in this match seemed meaningless.

Real Madrid must win 2-0 if they want to qualify for the next round.
