PSI Party Quips Geisz Chalifah: As Anies Loyalist, Remind Anies That Formula E Is Too Forced

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PSI Party faction of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD), Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, poked fun at PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol (Tbk) Commissioner Geisz Chalifah for being so supportive of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

As an Anies loyalist, Geisz was asked to have the courage to remind him that Anies' programs were too forced and wasted the regional budget. This refers to the implementation of Formula E.

"As a true loyalist to the governor (Anies), Bang Geisz should remind you that Formula E is too forced so that many things don't go according to plan. Also, remind you that Formula E is just a waste of people's money and has no profit for Jakarta," said Anggara in his statement, Tuesday, April 12.

Anggara gave an example of Geisz's statement, which considers the discourse on the number of Formula E audiences as much as 90.000 people being inconsequential.

In fact, said Anggara, the target audience of 90 thousand was initially disclosed by the Regional-owned Enterprise (BUMD) PT Jakarta Propertindo which was stated in the regional capital participation proposal (PMD) which was submitted to the DKI DPRD in the preparation of the DKI Regional Budget (APBD).

Therefore, Angara reminded Geisz to better understand the documents for the implementation of Formula E before giving a statement that only aims to defend Anies.

"The 90.000 figure is not made up and casually mentioned. Rather, it comes from the PT Jakpro PMD proposal in 2020. It's better if Bang Geisz reads first before commenting. Now it seems who is being inconsiderate," said Anggara.

Previously, Geisz revealed that the discourse about the capacity of the Formula E audience which was held in eastern Ancol could not possibly reach 90 thousand people. Because Ancol's land is limited, Geisz said that the audience capacity is only enough to accommodate 30 thousand to 40 thousand people.

"From the start, no one ever said the data that the audience would be 90 thousand. In full, Ancol is only 150 thousand people. That's already the entire Ancol area will be full. So if someone says 90 thousand, that's nonsense," said Geisz in the YouTube broadcast on Geisz Chalifah's Channel.
