JAKARTA - After performing the tarawih prayers, two groups of teenagers were involved in a sarong fight (war using cloth) on Jalan Cibubur 1, to be precise in front of the Cibubur 01 public elementary school (SDN), Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

The action was caught on camera and went viral on social media. In the video, teenagers can be seen attacking each other using wooden sarongs and sticks. The brawl broke up when a father intervened.

"Children around there, after tarawih, made fun of each other, finally got into a commotion with their sarung. The perpetrators were still elementary and junior high school students," said Commissioner of Police Jupriono when contacted by reporters, Tuesday, April 5.

Commissioner of Police Jupriono said the residents had successfully dispersed the brawl.

"No one carries a sharp weapon," he said.

Due to this incident, Jupriono never tire of urging parents to supervise their children, especially at night.

"This is juvenile delinquency, which must be tackled together. Starting from the family, environment and police officers. We will also patrol regularly," he said.
