Community Activity Restrictions Loose, Lion Air Owned By Conglomerate Rusdi Kirana Opens New Makassar – Semarang Route
JAKARTA - It is said that the national airline Lion Air has just inaugurated a new flight route from Makassar via Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG) to General Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang, Central Java (SRG).
In a press statement quoted today, it is known that Lion Air will make its first flight on this new route starting April 14.
"The flight schedule will be served with a flight frequency of once a day each or seven times a week round trip (PP)", said the airlines belonging to conglomerate Rusdi Kirana reported.
The availability of these flight schedules is claimed to be the company's main focus in responding to requests from tourists, and inter-destination businesses (Makassar and Semarang) on the domestic network, and is an effort to increase the trend of air travel demand and restore public confidence that flying is safe.

"Lion Air is optimistic that the availability of flights with the right schedule will increasingly help and contribute positively to regional development in line with the government's program (in terms of PPKM/Community Activity Restrictions)", the airline with the JT flight code added.
Furthermore, the added value of this new route is believed to have an impact on the travel time being relatively short and making it easier for passengers to continue traveling to more and more cities.
“Lion Air Group continues to apply all applicable flight regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic alert period. This is by regulatory recommendations from the regulator and our commitment to operating always prioritizes factors of flight safety, security, and comfort (safety first) and is carried out according to health protocol guidelines", concluded Lion Air.
