After Bringing Bogor Lavani To Win The 2022 Pro League, Jeff Jiang Was Appointed As The Coach Of The Men's National Team For The 2021 SEA Games Hanoi

JAKARTA - The Central Board of the All-Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI) appointed Jeff Jiang as the coach of the men's national team. Jiang will bring the national volleyball team to face the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi.

The appointment of the coach from China was confirmed by the Head of the Development and Achievement Division of the Central Board (PP) of PBVSI Heyzer Harsono at the General Kunarto Volleyball Padepokan, Sentul, on Wednesday, March 30.

The Indonesian volleyball competition is no stranger to Jiang. He previously coached the Proliga Bandung Artdeo Bank Jabar and Jakarta Bank DKI teams in 2005 and 2006. Meanwhile, last time Jiang brought Bogor Lavani to the Proliga champions this season.

"He will officially coach from April 1, 2022, he is contracted for six months, until September," Heyzer said in an official statement.

Jiang will also determine the selection of the line-up for the Hanoi SEA Games later. Of the 24 players who entered the initial list, in the end only 14 athletes were selected.

In addition, he will also coach the men's team at this year's Asian Games which will take place in Hangzhou on September 10-25.

"If you go to the Asian Games, he will train," said Heyzer, who is also the owner of the Surabaya Samator club.

A total of 14 players who were called to take part in the 2022 SEA Games Hanoi National Training Center must have entered the Kunarto Police General Volleyball Center, Sentul, Bogor, on March 31, 2022. The day after that the peacocks will immediately undergo a physical test.

According to Heyser, the men's national team no longer has time to test matches overseas and domestically. The men's volleyball team plans to leave for Vietnam between the 8th and 9th of May 2022.
