Ahead Of Ramadan 2022, Food Stock At Makassar Traditional Market Is Safe
MAKASSAR - The head of the Kampung Baru Makassar Market, Fajaruddin, said that food stocks in traditional markets in the Makassar area were safe ahead of Ramadan 2022.
Fajaruddin said that prices for food, especially basic necessities, including bulk cooking oil, were still under normal monitoring.
"There is still one trader who has bulk oil stock at a price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter, although the stock is indeed limited. Meanwhile, white crystal sugar is also available at a selling price of Rp. 14,000 to Rp. 15,000 per kg," he said, quoted by Antara.
The price of the cheapest rice in the market ranges from Rp. 8,000 to 10 thousand per kg. Furthermore, medium rice (Rp 9,000) and premium rice are sold at Rp 11,000 per kg
Meanwhile, purebred chicken eggs are sold for between Rp. 43 thousand to Rp. 45 thousand per rack and free-range chicken eggs are set at Rp. 2,300 to Rp. 2,500 per item.
For red chilies, curly red chilies, red cayenne peppers are sold for IDR 45 thousand to IDR 50 thousand per kg. Meanwhile, green chilies are Rp. 30 thousand.
Furthermore, Bima shallots (Rp 40 thousand per kg), imported garlic Rp 30 thousand) and onions are sold for Rp 25 thousand to Rp 30 thousand per kg.
Including the price of local beef Rp. 120 thousand, chicken meat (Rp. 30 thousand per kg/head) and free-range chicken Rp. 80 thousand per head.
He explained that his party always routinely monitors the condition of food stocks at the traders. The office location in the market, he said, also makes it easier to review
His party also continues to routinely coordinate with the Makassar Food Task Force which was deliberately formed ahead of Ramadan to ensure food availability for the community.
"We have 112 traders who sell various basic needs. Alhamdulillah, until now the stock condition is still stable and prices are still normal. Hopefully it can be maintained until Ramadan later," he said.
