NTB Governor Urged To Evaluate OPD Performance After MotoGP
MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial DPRD asked Governor Zulkieflimansyah to evaluate a number of leaders of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) involved in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2022 (MotoGP) event.
Chairman of Commission II of the NTB Provincial DPRD, Lalu Satriawandi, said the request for evaluation arose because of the many problems that arose in the field. Starting from the sale and exchange of tickets, transportation arrangements that cause traffic jams and stranded passengers to the high sales of hotel rooms.
"We ask that the performance of all OPDs be evaluated, if there is something wrong with the performance of OPDs that do not meet expectations in the MotoGP event, of course, the Governor has the authority, for example rolling the OPD leaders," he said, in Mataram, Tuesday, March 22.
He assessed that there was a lack of coordination between OPDs and existing stakeholders, resulting in problems in the field. One example of the problem of hotel rooms.
"Imagine as many as 6,000 hotel rooms cannot be sold. Even though information circulated long before that the hotel rooms were fully booked. In fact, on the ground, many hotel rooms cannot be sold. "Satriawandi said, quoted by Antara.
Satriawandi also said, the results of absorption in the community that was very prominent, namely transportation arrangements, were not fulfilled with full hotel room bookings so that the remaining 6,000 rooms were not occupied, why did this happen? This means that there is a lack of coordination with the hotel association, he also said.
"The ticket sales system has gone wrong, many people have been tricked by unscrupulous persons. Until now, it is not clear what their refunds will be. The regulation on ticket sales is clear what it looks like, who exactly is appointed to sell the tickets," said this member of the Central Lombok Regency Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) for Central Lombok Regency also.

However, Satriawandi did not deny that the implementation of the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit was successfully held, so that it was able to bring the good name of NTB on the world stage. According to him, this cannot be separated from the role of the provincial government, local government, and the coordination of the NTB Province Forkopimda and all parties involved in these activities.
"Thank you to the Governor, forkopimda, and the people of NTB who were able to maintain security and comfort so that the MotoGP event was carried out successfully," he also said.
Therefore, despite these shortcomings, he emphasized that the existence of the Mandalika Circuit does not only belong to Lombok, NTB. But it already belongs to the nation and the state.
"The presence of the circuit has been able to boost economic growth. As for the name of humans, there are advantages and disadvantages. We evaluate these shortcomings in order to improve security, service, transportation regulations, traffic regulation and lodging. traffic is not repeated again," he said again.
