Because The Bus Is Stuck In Traffic, Hundreds Of Mandalika MotoGP Spectators Walk To The Parking Area
MATARAM - A number of spectators at the Pertamina Grand Prix Of Indonesia which took place at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were forced to walk home to the parking area. The reason is because the shuttle bus that will pick up is stuck in traffic.
After the race, hundreds of spectators exited through tunnel one and then walked to the audience pick-up post.
However, after arriving there there were no buses lining up to pick up spectators who were going home. The audience was directed to take the bus in front of the circuit.
Several residents had asked the officers, but were still directed to wait, because the shuttle bus was stuck in traffic after taking the previous audience to the West parking area. The audience had to walk and other spectators were still waiting at the door of the Mandalika Circuit.
In addition, several spectators were seen walking towards the west parking area and some were taken by police bus trucks, so they could quickly get to the west parking lot.
"There are no buses, we were told to go forward, but there were no buses to pick us up," said Dinda, one of the spectators from Bekasi, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20.
The same thing was said by Dedi, a spectator from East Praya, Central Lombok. He said that he and his friends had to walk to the west parking lot, because when they went to the circuit, they used the shuttle bus.
So the vehicle used with his friend was parked in the Nurul Bilad Mosque area. "You have to walk rigidly, there is no bus to pick you up," he said.
The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Artanto, said that the shuttle bus that had been prepared to accommodate the transportation of the MotoGP spectators was being chased to pick up the audience. However, the bus could not move because it was caught in a traffic jam in front of the Mandalika Circuit.
"The bus couldn't move, because it was stuck in traffic in front of the Mandalika Circuit," said Artanto in Mandalika.
