Campaign For Zero Emission, Sri Mulyani Gowes Relaxes At Banteng Field

Recently, the state treasurer took a casual cycling action with the ranks below her to campaign for the zero-emission movement.
“Starting the weekend, this morning I and the ranks of PT SMI @ptsmi_id cycled leisurely around the Lapangan Banteng area. In addition to implementing a healthy lifestyle, this event is also held to campaign for the zero-emission movement as a form of concern for the environment", she said through her personal Instagram account @smindrawati quoted on Sunday, March 20.
According to the Minister of Finance, the step to reduce carbon emissions is the government's new orientation in creating a more environmentally friendly economic climate.
"Indonesia has made serious efforts to address the issue of climate change by strengthening sustainable financing to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) including zero carbon emissions, which are directed at creating a favorable investment environment for the green sector", she said.

To achieve these goals, the Minister of Finance empowers all elements in the Ministry of Finance to support this.
"I am happy in carrying out the mandate as a special mission vehicle (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance, especially infrastructure and advisory financing, PT SMI has consistently adopted various sustainable fiscal policies, such as waste recycling management and clean water", she explained.

After successfully obtaining funding of US$3.5 billion (IDR 49.7 trillion) from global green Sukuk, the state is now targeting the monetization potential of blue economic activity from the marine sector.
For information, Indonesia is targeting a 29 percent reduction in carbon emissions with its own efforts and 41 percent with international assistance. Meanwhile, Indonesia's need to achieve a determination to reduce CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions is IDR 3,461 trillion until 2030.
