Fixing Dense Residential Settlements For Sungailiat Fishermen, Bangka Regency Government Receives IDR 14.3 Billion Aid

JAKARTA - The Bangka Regency Government, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, received assistance worth IDR 14.3 billion from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR). The funds will flow to the arrangement of densely populated settlements in the Sungailiat Fisherman 2 Environment.

"In 2022, we received assistance for the development and arrangement of slum settlements worth IDR 14.3 billion, sourced from the state budget (APBN) through the Ministry of PUPR", said Bangka Regent Mulkan, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 13.

The arrangement of densely populated settlements in the Sungailiat Fisherman's 2 Environment is the second segment of the follow-up program of the 2021 densely populated settlement arrangement after the Sungailiat 1 Fisherman's Environment.

"The arrangement of densely populated settlements is gradually being developed, where previously, flats were also built for residential facilities for people who do not have private homes", he explained.

According to him, the activities of structuring densely populated settlements in the two neighborhoods are carried out by the central government through regional work units, because the area covers more than 15 hectares.

"Although the authority of the central government, but the implementation and the place of activities are in the regions, so we have an obligation to maintain, maintain, and utilize", he said.

He said the Bangka Regency Government also received asset grants from the PUPR Ministry in the form of village road infrastructure, drinking water supply systems, and several assets built by the central government.
