Tangerang Regency Police Wait For Banten Police's Directions On Eid Al-Fitr Security

TANGERANG - The Tangerang Police are still waiting for further directions from the Banten Regional Police regarding the implementation of the scheme in securing the Eid al-Fitr homecoming in 2022.

Head of Tangerang Polresta Traffic Unit, Kompol Fikri Ardiansyah in Tangerang, said that currently his party is still collecting data on arterial routes that are prone to be crossed by travelers from DKI Jakarta to Merak.

"The data collection stage is for the routes first. The traffic jam-prone points are in the market area in Tangerang Regency, as well as the toll gate entrances," Fikri said when contacted, Saturday, March 12.

He revealed, related to the restrictions on the homecoming route, adjustments would be made to the existing rules in the instructions from the central government.

"We will adjust the instructions from the government, but usually now there is a bit of leeway, whether it's from traveling without using antigen tests or PCR," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Police, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, directly inspected the homecoming route by driving his own car along the Trans Java Toll Road. This is also in order to ensure readiness for the 2022 Ketupat Operation.

The Traffic Headquarters drove the car along the Jakarta Toll Road to the Cikopo Toll Road, West Java, then continued to Kalikangkung Police Post, Semarang, Central Java.

"This survey is a preliminary activity before it will be carried out by the community. Personally, I want to ascertain how the condition of the road being traversed," said Firman, March 9.

He emphasized that his party will prepare everything for the smooth going home of the community this year.

"Later, there will be several posts that we will provide and scenarios like the previous year. Such as service posts, health posts, and others," said Firman.
