Not Getting A Place In Barcelona's Front Line, Martin Braithwaite Considers Leaving Camp Nou

JAKARTA - Striker Martin Braithwaite is reportedly considering his future at La Liga giants Barcelona after he was left out of the squad in recent matches.

Quoted by Antara from football-Espana, Tuesday, Braithwaite was not included in the squad when Barcelona won the match against El Che with a score of 2-1 in Week 27 of the Spanish League, last weekend.

It is known that Braithwaite had suffered an injury earlier this season and recovered in January, but was not the first choice of coach Xavi Hernandez.

Braithwaite's difficulty breaking into the Barcelona main squad was due to the arrival of several attacking players in the January transfer window, such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Adama Traore, and Ferran Torres.

Based on this, and the quality of the players he is playing against, it is understood that Dane forward will be considering his future including a move away from Barcelona.

Braithwaite needs to get playing time so he can ensure a place in the Danish national team which will compete in the 2022 World Cup Qatar, next November.

Martin Braithwaite came to Barcelona from Leganes in the January 2020 transfer window and made 57 appearances for the Blaugrana, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.

With the Danish national team, Braithwaite was able to score 10 goals in 56 appearances and brought the Dynamites to the 2022 World Cup finals by occupying the top position in Group F with 27 points from 10 matches.
