The Complete List Of 10 Maya Cup Nominees: Iqbaal Ramadhan, Chicco Jerikho, And Angga Yunanda In Strict Competition

JAKARTA - The organizing committee for the 10th Maya Cup has finally announced the list of nominees for the winners, which includes 29 categories, namely 15 technical categories, 8 acting categories, and 6 non-film categories.

This nomination was obtained after the committee collected 94 Indonesian feature films that were shown in theaters and streaming services (OTT) which were included in the judging by the 10 Maya Cup Selection Committee. They also received 145 short films, documentaries and short animated films through open submissions for the Maya Cup. 10 which opened since early January 2022.

Quoted from ANTARA, the Special Selection Committee for submitted films consisting of 7 representatives from film reviewers, programmers, social media practitioners, and academics then selected all the films that were submitted until they became nominations.

This year's award event, which carries the theme "Interaction: Action, Reaction, Interaction," specifically appreciates films that air from January 1 to December 31, 2021.

Later, the announcement of the selected winners will be held on March 12-13, 2022 through their official Instagram account as a form of appreciation for welcoming the 72nd National Film Day on March 30, 2022. A similar method was also carried out last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"The theme INTERACT10N was chosen because the Maya Cup started from interactions on social media Twitter in 2010 and 2011 as a form of summarizing the most memorable films of the year," said the initiator of the Maya Cup, Hafiz Husni from @FILM_Indonesia in a press release, quoted on Saturday.
