Fast Pick Up Process For 80 Indonesian Citizens From Romania, Garuda Indonesia Only 5.5 Hours At Henri Coandă Airport
JAKARTA - Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi explained in detail how the government finally managed to pick up Indonesian citizens who had been evacuated from Ukraine. They had previously been transferred to Romania.
This special Garuda Indonesia flight GA 7720 arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 17.10 WIB. This aircraft took off from Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania.
This plane carrying 80 Indonesian citizens and three foreigners who are part of the Indonesian citizen's family landed safely.
"There are 14 evacuees who still have to stay in Bucharest and have not been able to participate in this return trip", said Foreign Minister Retno at a press conference, Thursday, March 3.
The pick-up team consisting of the Indonesian Air Force, State Intelligence Service, and representatives of Garuda Indonesia departed for Bucharest on Tuesday, March 2 at 18.40 WIB.
Arrive at Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania March 3 at 15:10 local time. Then this plane flew back to Indonesia at 20:23 local time.
"Or 5.5 hours after landing", said Retno.
On the way home, this plane took the route from Bucharest - Medina - Jakarta with a travel time of 17 hours.
